Connect.Ed

Third blog in one day – powering through!

Okay, so this blog is about an activity from this weeks learning path entitled Connect.Ed. Basically, we had to complete four modules on online safety, digital citizenship, digital footprints, cyberbullying – all of those things that seem to come with theThumbs_Up territory of online communications.

From my experience, I would highly recommend participating in the Connect.Ed program if you are able to. I found it to be a great tool for teachers to expand their knowledge and understanding of online safety, and it highlights issues that students will most commonly encounter online. It also provides a link to this brilliant website, Cybersmart, that provides activities and information relevant to age and year level. Bonus!

So, if you’re not part of the EDC3100 course and it isn’t compulsory for you to participate in the program, I would still definitely recommend that you do so. It’s a great educational resource, and you get a cool certificate too!
